Harmony Counseling provides evidence-based, neurologically focused trauma treatment and counseling in Troy and Albany, New York. We support adults, couples, children and teens through in-person and virtual care.

Treatment may include counseling, trauma reprocessing, skills for nervous-system regulation and carefully selected supportive practices.

What is Counseling?

The ultimate goal of counseling is to have greater freedom of choice, including the choice to be happy. On that road to freedom, you will identify and release emotional patterns and beliefs that no longer serve you, and then find new emotions and new ways of thinking that better serve you and the life you want to create.

You will also learn strategies for being emotionally resilient and balanced in the face of everyday stressors. Emotional resilience will give you the power and freedom to be the person you want to be and lead the life you really want.

We specialize in trauma treatment using yoga, movement, breath, and somatic awareness, as well as treatments that change traumatic memory: the Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memory (RTM Protocol) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).
